NPS-ANHA Champlain Valley Tour

In October 2012, Lake Champlain Basin staff and partners proudly showed off some of the best of what the Champlain Valley National Heritage Area has to offer. CVNHP hosted the fall meeting of national heritage areas from around the eastern U.S., attended by visitors from as far as Mississippi and Illinois. For many, it was their first visit to Vermont and the Adirondacks, and they weren’t disappointed. The day’s rain didn’t dampen spirits as they toured some of the highlights: ECHO, Fort Ticonderoga, Crown Point, Chimney Point, and the Lake Champlain Maritime Museum. The fall foliage and the region’s rich cultural heritage prompted many oohs and aahs, along with a bounty of photos. This gallery is a compilation of the best submissions by participants.
